The information  presented below is sourced from the Bureau of Meterology and includes the latest official readings from the Hawker weather station.

Hawker has a manual weather station where readings are taken only three times a day at 6am, 9am and 3pm. More frequent readings are also provided through the nearest automatic weather stations located at Port Augusta, about 100km to the south and Leigh Creek Airport about 150km to the north.

The readings at Port Augusta should not necessarily be taken as being similar for Hawker, as Hawker is over 300 metres above sea level. There can be major discrepancies in temperature, particularly during summer.
