Hawker Art Exhibition

Annual Hawker Art Exhibition stays in recess

As a result of the AGM of the Hawker Art Exhibition Committee held in April 2010 we wish to inform artists and visitors that the Exhibition will remain in recess indefinitely.

The reasons for coming to this decision are:

The lack of community volunteers who are committed to lead and manage the Exhibition
The numerous other exhibitions being held at the time, both locally and regionally, all competing for a shrinking market.

The following will happen to keep artists informed:

Artists who have exhibited at least once since 2004 have been sent a letter informing them of the Committee's decision about remaining in recess and that there remains an opportunity to exhibit some work with the Hawker Craft Mart (see below for contact details).

We would like once again to thank all our artists and thousands of visitors who have helped to make the Hawker Art Exhibition such a successful and well-liked event since 1982.

Hawker Craft Mart / Quilt Exhibition / Camera display

We also wish to advise that the Hawker Craft Mart / Quilt Exhibition / Camera display will go ahead in 2010 as in past years and indeed in the format as for 2009.
