Information for artists

New artists are always welcome to enter their works in our annual exhibition.

Artists who feel that their work is in keeping with the high standard of work displayed in the exhibition are encouraged to enter.

Entry forms are sent to all artists on our mailing list by early June each year. Entries are usually required to be with the Secretary near the end of August.

Entry forms will also be sent to anyone who makes a request by phone, letter or email.

Entry forms are may be picked up from Hawker Motors in the centre of our town.

2008 entry forms will be available online by the end of March.

Entries for the 2008 Exhibition will close on 21 August

   - we are unable to accept late entries.

A letter inviting artists to participate is mailed out during early June each year. Invitations, together with an Entry Form, details about the Internet and Packaging guidelines are automatically sent to all artists who have entered works during any of the previous three exhibitions or who have been added to our database since the last exhibition.

Interested artists can have their names added to the following year's exhibition mailing list by simply contacting the Secretary - see below for contact details.

Information about artist's participation in this internet website is also sent with the above invitation letter.

We advise that the best method of freighting paintings to Hawker is to use the Stateliner bus system. The bus system will still deliver to Hawker. The bus stops at Pt Augusta from which a contractor will deliver to Hawker.

Good packaging is necessary. Packaging Guidelines (see next section below) are also sent to artists with the invitation letter.
